Hope you enjoy; this is all the result of your votes. It's funny how, after getting rid of all the games with under five votes, I was left with twenty-four games: a nice round number.

And, as you can see, I always intend to finish the things I begin. :)
Thread title:
5 Zelda games and NO Metroid game?
surprising.

I like the games listed above, but I am still wondering why there is no Metroid game in the list...  Rolling Eyes
I do believe metroid games were left off because this is a metroid fansite of sorts.

EDIT: Ok, they were on the list... maybe people didn't vote for them because they wanted to see this forum's favorite non-metroid games? >_> <_<
Too many fangirls to count
I don't think a single one of mine got on there.

Metroid games were not allowed.
This is a Metroid Forum. We spend a lot of time playing Metroid Games. Now its time to see the OTHER games we enjoy playing.

I dunno if I even posted or voted for any games >_>;;
Anybody notice that only two games (Starcraft and Sonic 2) are from a non-Nintendo system?  laugh new (OK, you could count RE4 too but it was on the cube)

Good to see which game "won" around here. grin new

Did you really expect anything else, though?

And luke was making fun of me for liking too many Nintendo games. <_<

WTF? No Contra 1?

...Pffffft. >_>

lol, there's no way this list will please anyone, really. Was just a little popularity contest.

that makes sense. Otherwise...  laugh new

erm, RE4 WAS GameCube-only for a long time (more or less..)
so I think you can't really count it for a "non-Nintendo system" game... (IMHO)
Since I've never played RE4, I didn't realize that.

And no, I wasn't really expecting much different. Most of my favorite games are either on PC or a Nintendo system. (Although neither of those really have MGS or Ratchet+Clank.)
Who the hell voted for that bloody crap by Square?

And why is there no EarthBound?
Mister ...
I see FFIV and FFVI, but I'm surprised to not see FFVII.  I've been told that's like the greatest RPG of all time.

Can't believe OoT got second, even if it is master quest ... not that I care or anything.  ALttP is still personally better.
>_> typical, I know.
Though, now that I think about it, I still have yet to play Master Quest.

I'm surprised as well. I don't think I've ever heard anything about FFVI. Ever.

That vote is for the original Ocarina Of Time AND for Master Quest. I counted them as the same game.

It got four votes.

FF7 was, is, has been and will always be exaggerately overhyped, that's all. It's not even that good a game; I personally preferred FF8 myself.

All you need to know is that FFVI>FFVII.

Ark, possibly you heard about FF III on the SNES?  That's what VI was released as in the US originally; it didn't get its Japanese number back until FF Anthology was released for the PS.  It and Chrono Trigger are generally considered the best/most popular SNES RPGs, though other RPG fans may dispute that -- I wasn't playing RPGs (or much of anything else) at the time and still have quite a few in the backlog, so I'm going by what I've heard from people on various RPG messageboards I used to frequent.

Given that this board is not overly endowed with RPG players and does rather tend toward owners of Nintendo consoles, I'm not surprised FF VII didn't show up; its significance seems to be largely tied to it being a PSX game.

It's a funny thing about FF, that no two people seem to agree on which in the series they prefer or revile.  It's pretty pointless to talk about which is best/worst when opinions vary so wildly.

Chan: oh, yeah, I forgot about the changed names in the U.S. I even had just read that on Wikipedia.

Despite the fact I have the cart, I have barely even played it; therefore, I decided not to vote for it.

...

*flees*
That's a game I'm hoping ends up on the Virtual Console, because I've never had the chance to play it. Everything I've heard about it makes me want to see what I missed out on.
