• One other thing that works is shooting the seeker targets from the elevator's side. Get near the edge and paint the targets with R. Once you get four, aim up and lock on the highest target with L. Let go of L and fire when your view is almost centered. If you hit all five, you'll be teleported to the other side during the cutscene, but this can only be done once.
• Yet another way to get across is space jumping to the other side and falling. Sometimes the game will place you there, but the other methods are much more reliable.
