Notes:
- This secret world can only currently be reached during the fight with the baby sheegoths before wave beam collection. Since it requires a damage boost from a baby sheegoth, it is recommended that you collect as many energy tanks as possible before attempting it.
- Once the fight starts, kill three of the four baby sheegoths, leaving just one. If you stand at the entrance door and face the point where the wave beam was, then look to the right, there is a rock face in the corner of the cubicle from which one of the baby sheegoths will have emerged. At the top of this rock face is a gap through which it is possible to jump to reach a point that may be stood upon.
- Destroy the crates in this corner (they get in the way) and stand near the gap in the rock face. You need to entice the sheegoth into the corner and convince it to stand on the snow in front of the rock face. Once it is in position, jump onto its back. This is best done when it is using its ice breath attack, as this will prevent it from moving temporarily. You will take damage from the sheegoth which will push you around. If you time a jump so that it occurs when you take damage, you will find that Samus is given a boost in height for the jump. You will probably need to practice this so you get a feel for how often the damage occurs and how long you need to wait before jumping.
- The jump through the gap is awkward as it needs to be done at just the right angle so Samus does not catch on the rock surrounding the gap. There is no easy way to explain how to do this correctly, so practice and experimentation will again be required. You need to reach a point where it is possible to stand and jump freely; the only suitable place is right at the back of the alcove, in the corner against the walls. Try to strafe right once you are through the gap to move yourself into position.
- It is possible to make this jump cleanly so that Samus reaches the target spot with no complications (generally a near-perfect damage boost is required to achieve this). This is shown in the above left video. If you fail to reach this point, you will most likely begin sliding around inside the alcove with no genuine foothold. When this happens, you can try morphing into a ball, pushing yourself against the far wall and laying bombs. The slowing effect of the wall may keep you inside the alcove long enough for the bombs to pop you up, in which case you can try pushing towards the target point and unmorphing onto it. This does work sometimes (as shown in the above right video), although often the footsteps of the sheegoth will shake you loose and Samus will fall out again.
- Once you have reached the point at the back of the alcove where Samus can stand, turn round 180 degrees. Be careful that you do not move in any direction. The next task is to jump on top of the ceiling of the cubicle. It is highly recommended that you use your first jump exactly where you stand (just tap B and do not move the stick) to avoid the risk of sliding off. Push forward as you tap B for your space jump and you should make it onto the ceiling in front of you.
- Phase two of the operation is to bomb jump up a sticky invisible wall and stand atop it, from which point you can just jump out of the level. The walls of the cubicle on whose ceiling Samus is standing extend invisibly upwards. Face the entrance door and then rotate left so that the edge of the cubicle in front of you becomes horizontal. Walk to this edge and look up. You should see that the ceiling above you has a cutout section and you need to be standing as close to this cutout as possible. Once you are in approximately the right position, turn through 180 degrees and morph. This should bring the camera into a position outside the cubicle, which makes it much easier to see what you are doing during the bomb jump.
- Pull the control stick backwards so that the morph ball pushes into the sticky invisible wall at the near edge of the cubicle. Continue holding the stick backwards and lay bombs to proceed up the wall. For the first few bombs, you can reset the stick to the centre position as each bomb goes off and then return it to the backwards position when you reach the peak of the jump - this will enable you to get full height on your bombs and make the journey up the wall slightly quicker, but it isn't necessary. As you near the roof above you, keep the stick pulled backwards all the time to restrict the jump height, as you need very fine control. The object is to use the final bomb to pop clear of the sticky wall and hit the roof above you, whereupon you should hopefully land on top of the invisible wall. As the final bomb goes off, hammer X repeatedly. With luck you will bounce off the roof, roll into a clear position on top of the invisible wall, and unmorph.
- From here, space jump up to clear the roof and then backwards into a skywalk above the level. The second phase of this procedure is shown in the video below.
