Notes:

Start by jumping to the invisible ledge.
Use an L Jump to begin, then immediately lock your view again to the lower left.
Jump again and release the lock just before you hit the lava to make it all the way across Twin Fires Tunnel without the Spider Ball and without using the North American First Edition-only Dash Jump method.
If you are good at Bunny Hopping, you can speed this room up even more by skipping the first part of the above method, as shown in the video below.
