When facing the morphball hole from the landing site side of waterfall cavern, you can look up and see a point where a green vine crosses a tree branch in the rock. Just to the left of that, there is a section where the rock curves inwards above the branch, which allows samus just enough room to stand. This is the vital stepping stone to success here.
Blow up the blastcap on the rock that is directly in front of the single waterfall. Climb to the top of this rock and stand against the waterfall. Starting at the back of the rock in this way will provide a touch of ghetto effect as you jump towards the branch, which should give the extra height you need. To make the jump to the area described above, it is easiest to jump away from the branch (to the left) with your first jump and then turn back towards and onto the branch with your second. As ghetto effect is required, it is necessary to hold L at the beginning of the first jump.
Once you have made it to this thin ledge, jump onto the tree in front of you and then out of the hole in the ceiling.
